Gabriele Moratti

Instrument: Bass guitar
Role: Steve Harris

Gabriele Moratti has been bassist and member of the band since its first line-up.

He began playing by studying electric guitar and experimenting with his first rock and electro-pop experiences, where he loved experimenting with elaborate sounds and styles, inspired by psychedelic rock, English new wave and bands such as Pink Floyd, Genesis and David Bowie.

In parallel, however, he has always loved listening to harder rock, with a particular predilection for Motley, Crue, Ozzy Osbourne and obviously Maiden, whom he discovered for the first time in 1987 listening to "Somewhere in Time", which since then remains his reference album in the Maiden world.

After a few years, following an "electrocution" during a jam session, Gabriele decides to switch to bass and joins his first real band in Rome: "Filati Pregiati", with whom he plays in the clubs of the capital, offering a mix of unreleased songs and Rock covers, ranging from Pearl Jam to RHCP.

Having moved to Milan, he decided not to interrupt his musical activity, but veered towards the Pop genre. He founded the band "Top of the Pops", still active, which he then left to dedicate himself to a Duran Duran tribute, with which he did numerous live shows throughout Italy and also played several times in the UK.

The return to Rock (and metal) comes when he is selected to join "The Ides of March". From that moment he dedicated himself completely and with great enthusiasm to the band.
However, in 2023 he made an exception, playing with the “Rockin1000” project, performing in front of 20,000 people!
